Free Speech is now a Felony!

leave a comment »

Obama just signed bill HR347 surpressing free speech. The President signed an Anti-Protest Bill.

This gives Federal Agents sweeping powers to arrest and bring FELONY charges against Citizens (you and I) engaged in protests where the secret service is present (a place that would be most logical for protesting).

What do you think? Do you ever stop to think, you were born into debt and slavery? Well, whatever you do, don’t say anything about it, it just might be a FELONY! Prison!

I wonder what holds you back! Do you realize how much potential you posess? Time keeps going by and you’re moving like a turtle. Are you worried about the thoughts of others? Time reveals the truth and the truth about you is designed by you! ~ John Milanoski

How does the public allow this over and over?

leave a comment »

One thing that has always annoyed me in the high level business circles is how money is extracted and large salaries are paid in spite of ZERO value being delivered, at least from the business profit model!

I guess I am just old school and a little more dedicated to building a sustainable business. Business, in my opinion should be proven by first providing value, utilizing revenue from the value delivered to expand. Somewhere, the habit of spending the next 10 years of profits to build a foundation and play catch up has become the preferred method. I guess that would be ok… if the people running the show took minimal pay until they actually produced the results they are there for in the first place.

I am amazed at how many CEO’s and others get paid huge money when they produce nothing but losses! I could understand a profit target and if its met a HUGE bonus is paid, but come on… 10 million paid to one person and they are doing nothing but losing money! Then, it gets hyped up and sold to the public?

Haven’t we seen enough of this already. It was everywhere and came crashing down in late nineties and its all back the same way again. Where are the real businessmen that produce value and get paid accordingly. Rewards in direct proportion to the results produced.

This pattern just deceives the budding Entrepreneur. Business takes hard work, commitment and passion. Today, people seem to be stuck in a microwave, instant gratification mentality. Where have all the real business people gone? So quick to throw in the towel because you couldn’t raise 20 million? Not willing to put your own livelihood on the line? I question how strongly you really believe in what you are doing if you cannot make a 100% no matter what commitment!

This was posted on The Daily Beast Nov 4, 2011 12:00 AM EDT ( Groupon’s No Bargain )
Over the course of its history, Groupon has raised $1.1 billion in venture funding, but has paid out $942 million of that to insiders. Earlier this year, when Groupon raised $946 million in a venture round, only $136 million went to the company itself, while a staggering $810 million was used to buy shares from insiders.

In April 2010, Groupon raised $130 million in venture funding, only $10 million went to the company, and $120 million went to insiders.

Big chunks of that money have gone to LLCs run by two early investors—Eric Lefkofsky and Brad Keywell—and their wives.

In June, Lefkofsky was the subject of a less-than-flattering profile in Fortune describing his track record with other companies, marked by “rapid revenue growth accompanied by big losses, a penchant to sell stock early on, and lawsuits filed by investors, lenders or customers who feel they have been wronged.

So far, Lefkofsky has pulled nearly $400 million out of Groupon. Keywell has pulled out $156 million. Mason, the CEO, has taken $10 million.

In other words, these guys were getting rich on Groupon even as the company itself was losing money and running low on cash, according to a report by Blodget on his site, Business Insider, in August. Blodget reported that Groupon had “negative working capital,” meaning it owed more in bills than it had in cash.

Greatness of Character!

leave a comment »

What is Character? Doing what everyone else is doing?

The reality is that your Character is only truly measured by what you do when others are not looking! Always choose the right… in your heart, you know!

~ John Milanoski

All greatness of character is dependent on individuality. The man who has no other existence than that which he partakes in common with all around him, will never have any other than an existence of mediocrity.

John Milanoski - Grandpa Joe and Grandson Ethan - last picture

This is the last photo I have of my Grandfather and Grandson together [ four generations ]!

I do miss my grandfather very much. Such a Great man in so many ways. Involved in world changing events, He left a manuscript that will be a movie one day. His office was above General MacArthur during the War. He was very detailed about his involvement in Japan and is very well known in Japan for returning the 100’s of Diary and sash to the surviving Japanese Family members. He wrote of his friendship with Jiro Shirasu. He wrote over 9 volumes in total, up until his eyesight was too poor to continue and my cousins and I did our best to help him complete this. He was 93 when he passed on March 26th 2011.

I will forever hold his memory in every cell of my being!

This is a bit heart breaking and scary! WOW!
America, how can this even happen today?
Fear, what a hindrance to progress. What do you think?
Would you be compelled to dance that day, just out of principle?

A Day, A Life of Greatness!

with 2 comments

Do you think about Greatness?

I do.  I contemplate this in everything!

I don’t know about you but I look for ways to be great.  I figure, we only have one life, may as well have a great one.  Wouldn’t you agree?  It’s not like you can just roll back and do the last hour, day, month, year…  over again!  Being the best you can be, is by default, pro active.  Yes, absolutely, I also believe that if I am to lift anyone else up, or inspire anyone else to do great things, I better come from that position too!

It is a never ending process and often, a conscious effort to overcome what the outside world accepts as great vs what really is great.  Greatness comes from inside you not outside.

Be a great Parent, Businessman, Spouse, Giver, Example!  This means expecting more from yourself than anyone else would or could.

What are some components that make up Great?

It is important to realize that having a great life will only be accomplished by constantly striving to improve and be great.  It is the habits that are a result of our unconscious patterns that will ultimately determine if this is even possible for you.  There are things that you do that are outside your awareness that are hindering you.  You’ll need to identify those so you can consciously alter them and then institute new behaviors that will through repetition, replace the bad habits.  Of course, thats a topic that gets pretty deep and there are specific processes that will facilitate that evolution in a rapid manner (another day though).

For now, lets go into a little exploration:

As you think about yourself being great… how does that exist?  When you think of a great life… what’s that like?

Consider a day in the life of you being great.

  1. How would you wake up?
  • If you had a rough day before, what would you think about and visa versa?
  • What thoughts go through your mind as you wake up and plan on a great day?
  • Do you believe your thoughts even impact the start of your day?
  • Do you get up right away or do you lay in bed for a while?
  • Do you reflect on yesterday or look towards the the new day?
  • How do you breath?
  • Do you get up and exercise or not?
  • Do you eat breakfast?
  • How do you interact with those in your household or close to you (are you excited and happy with a hello good morning or are you quiet and keep to yourself?)
  • Do you take the initiative to set the mood in your household with others or do you let them set the mood?  Is it a happy, sad, angry mood?  Do you take the initiative to change it if it is not in the direction of happiness and joy?
  • Do you care?
  • Are you mindful of the time or do you just go with the flow?
  • Do you allow the interactions of the previous day influence the interactions of this new day? if so, how?  Are you improving, ignoring, fixing or enhancing?
  • How do you move?  Slow or fast?  With purpose or no purpose?
  • How do you breathe?  Deep or shallow?  Do you notice the smells?  Are you feeling the full expansion of your lungs etc.?  Do you notice the temperature of the air?
  • Are you present or thinking of the things you need to do next?

Your day always starts with  waking up.  How you do it  sets the stage for the rest of the day.  Of course you can change the mood at any time and it is surely much easier to set the stage right from the start!

I look around and I see so much potential.  I guess I truly am the eternal optimist.  I expect the best from all things. I have not yet accepted that there could really be any downside to this mindset.

Even if you fabricate potential pitfalls to this sort of thinking you must agree that even in our mistakes there is greatness.  After all, I would not have the distinctions I have had it not been the sum total of the experiences.

Each action produces a result and those results (desirable or not) are what spur the next action (desirable or not).

Well, that starts the day.  soon, I will post the next part of a day!

Your life is your choice and you can make it great.  A life that is satisfying to look back on!  You get one shot here and it is within each moment that you design a great life.  Begin NOW!
